Pour 20g of gelatin into 500ml of cold or warm water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring with a wooden spoon until fully dissolved. Do not let it boil. Remove from heat and leave the mixture in a cool place for 8–10 hours until it sets and turns into a firm gel.
